Going back to Cali

Being in your hometown is a little like hunkering down with your favorite book- its warm and comfortably predictable. Family, friends, good food, repeat. Yesterday my hubby went home to Texas and I am staying here for another week and a half to hang out with my family.

I have a few projects I would like to undertake:
  • While I am on vacation with 2 very talented seamstresses (my mom and sis- I'm kinda hoping there's a sewing gene and I have it too): a clutch, a purse, a vintage dress, and a nightgown for Lexi.
  • Grammy is still promising to teach me how to make creme puffs
  • Camping and going tourmaline hunting with my good friend D
  • Taking another zumba class (I laughed and had so much fun last week! I must do it again...)
  • READ!!! I just started The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner (Stephenie Meyer)
