First I had to mix the ingredients on the stove, then whip in one egg at a time, scoop out the dough and bake the puffs at 400 degrees for 40 minutes, allow them to cool and then fill with top secret family recipe for filling. Bonappetite!
Wednesday morning I ran off with D and a new acquaintance on a quick trip to Julian, California where we walked around town and shopped and of course had my favorite pie-- apple boysenberry with crumble topping. We then drove to Lake Henshaw for the night and camped. We made s'mores with caramel and vanilla marshmallows and they were gooey caramel perfection. The next morning we went tourmaline hunting at the Himalaya Mine Dig and had a blast...I actually found some beautiful bright pink gems (at least 2 carats) that I am planning on having cut and set (someday). So I'm having a lot of fun and eating a ton of good food- YUM!!!
