Today I went to see Ramona & Beezus. I read Beverly Cleary books when I was in third grade and loved them. I thought the movie would be heartwarming and funny- the film did not disappoint. I was touched by the dad's struggle between finding meaningful employment and just needing to be employed. I identified with Ramona's quirky and albeit odd ways, because anyone who knew me as a kid knew I was awkward (I believe the word April used was "Unique")....the movie was pure enjoyment. A few tears were shed, but I left the theater feeling in touch with my need to be me and that is a wonderful feeling.
