So I bought
Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfield and its awesome!!!! Who knew you could sneak veggies & fruits into foods where veggies & fruit do not normally exist? OK, I can see where some people would think deception is not the answer...well to you, I say, "You haven't yet experienced picky-eater-itis!" I am all for getting the nutrients and veggies in where you wouldn't normally expect them.....for example who new you could make brownies with spinach and carrot puree in them- when cooled you can't even taste the spinach (for real, I promise....granted they're not as chocolaty as my Gram's recipe, but definitely healthier.) And I baked peanut butter and jelly muffins (with carrots) and they were delicious!!! I am looking at trying the pink pancake recipe this weekend with beets...and for added effect I am going to add blueberries just to make it look less suspecting- ha!- I think I'm getting the hang of this concept.

I LOVE LOVE your cooking projects! Although I can't decide which i LOVED better...the peanut butter and jelly muffins or the raspberry brown sugar gratin! SO DELICIOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteyour brownies bounced.
ReplyDeleteI bought that book for my cousin two years ago when her toddler was starting to change his food likes and dislikes on a daily basis. Hope it works! :)
ReplyDeleteWeek one has been a success!!! I incorporated 4 meals from the cookbook this week.
